SDI actually started its conceptual activities since 2015 in a very small village (Chashma) by realizing the need of the communities to initiate their own welfare activities by their own limited resources – and that was amazing although not mentionable yet – that motivated us to go further and seriously thinking for the possible interventions ahead – Fortunately under PPAF program, we got registered our organization with Social Welfare department, KP in 2024 and then we put ourselves on the track properly.
Presently, SDI has established a network of village-based organizations and volunteer network in 40 villages in Tehsil Prova & Tehsil Paharpur, covering major communities and has identified major issues and challenges. The Floods-2022 strengthened SDI as we were intensively involved in Flood Emergencies, rescuing populations, providing shelters, providing food & water along with non-food household items which enhanced the communities trust on SDI
Now at rehabilitation phase, SDI is working with great issues and challenges, out which the biggest is the limited resources with STF although it has valuable on-job experience with the communities. STF is seeking donors at regional, national and international level to work jointly for the vulnerable communities specifically women, Girls, Children and old folks of the flood affected communities especially in the sectors of WASH/WATSAN, Infrastructure rehabilitation, Livelihood development, Health ( MHM, Child care, Pregnant Nutrition), Basic education.
For this purpose, SDI needs your any kind of help for these communities though how tiny is, as
